The weight that arrived in your forties. The 3am wake-ups. The fog. Perimenopause changes all of it, often years before anyone calls it menopause, and it's treatable. I'm Maureen Storey, a board-certified nurse practitioner, and I treat the whole picture, not one symptom at a time.
Most people who find me have already been told everything looks fine. Here's what they usually say instead.
None of this is something you have to wait out. And none of it is in your head.
These aren't four separate problems. For most people in their forties and fifties, they're one.
The transition can start in your late thirties and last a decade. We'll look at where you actually are, talk through hormone therapy and whether it makes sense for you, and treat the symptoms that are affecting your life right now: sleep, mood, cycle changes, hot flashes, libido.
Medically supervised weight management for the weight that changed when your hormones did. This includes prediabetes, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome, and it starts with labs, not a meal plan.
Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism, including the “borderline” results nobody acted on. Thyroid drives weight, energy, mood, and fog. It's the first thing I rule in or out.
Libido, discomfort, and hormone therapy for women and men. I spent years in sexual health clinics before this. It's a normal conversation here, not an awkward one.
Also treated: high blood pressure and cholesterol, cardiovascular prevention, persistent fatigue, insomnia, PCOS, allergies and sensitivities, skin changes tied to hormones, and general primary care for adults.
I don't see children. If you're looking for pediatric care, I'm not your provider.
Board-certified family nurse practitioner (ANCC #2018006356), MSN, and a member of The Menopause Society. HRT for women and men, thyroid, and metabolic care have been the core of my work, not something added on to a weight-loss business.
Primary care and chronic disease management in a community health center. HIV and Hepatitis C care. A 120-bed skilled nursing facility as the only provider. County family planning and STD clinics. Telehealth is where I practice now; it isn't the only place I've ever practiced.
I'm licensed to practice independently across a range of states. If you move, or you're between two places, you don't lose your provider and you don't restart your care with someone who has to learn your history from scratch.
Your first visit is 40 minutes. That's enough time to hear the whole history, not the top complaint. Follow-ups are 20 minutes, because by then we're adjusting, not starting over.
You'll see the price of every visit before you schedule it. No surprise bills, no benefits phone calls, no prior authorizations for the conversation itself.
Sometimes the answer is thyroid. Sometimes it's a medication you're already on. Sometimes you need a specialist I'm not. You'll get the real answer, which is the only reason the other five points matter.
Step 01
Book your first visit, 40 minutes
Pick a time that works. You'll see the price before you confirm.
Step 02
Tell me your history before we talk
You'll fill out an intake ahead of the visit. I read it before you join, so we don't spend your appointment on paperwork.
Step 03
We talk, and I order labs
A real conversation about what's changed and when. Then labs, often the ones nobody has run yet, so we're working from data, not guesses.
Step 04
We build the plan together
Once results are in, we go through them and decide on a plan. If medication is part of it, we'll talk through the options and your risk factors before anything is prescribed.
Step 05
Follow-ups every few months, 20 minutes
Hormone and thyroid care is adjusted over time, not set once. I'm your provider for that, ongoing.
No insurance, no surprises. You see the price before you book.
40 minutes with your provider
The whole history, not the top complaint.
20 minutes with your provider
Adjusting the plan as we go, not starting over.
Labs and any prescriptions are billed separately by the lab or pharmacy. I'll tell you what to expect before I order anything.
Many visits are eligible for HSA and FSA funds, and I can write a letter of medical necessity if your plan asks for one.
Forty minutes, a real conversation, and labs that actually get ordered. Let's find out what's going on.
Virtual visits · Price shown before you book · Adults only
Powered byPerimenopause commonly starts in the late thirties or early forties, often years before periods stop. If your weight, sleep, cycle, or focus have changed, your age is not a reason to wait.
That depends on your history, your labs, and your own risk factors, and it's exactly the conversation the first visit is for. I'll walk you through the options and what each one does and doesn't do, and you decide.
Not right now. Visits are cash-pay, with the price shown before you book. Many visits qualify for HSA or FSA funds.
I see patients in the states where I'm licensed to practice independently. Enter your state when you book and you'll see my availability immediately. If I can't see you there, you'll know before you spend any time on it.
Tell me and we'll check. Being licensed across a number of states is the reason I built the practice this way: hormone care takes years and you shouldn't have to restart it because you changed address.
That varies by person and by what we're treating, and I won't give you a number I can't stand behind. What I will tell you at the first visit is what to watch for and when we'll reassess.
Sometimes, and sometimes we need labs first. I'd rather order the right thing on visit two than the wrong thing on visit one.

No. Anyone can book a first visit. Membership is for continuing care after that visit.
The first visit is a one-time consultation you book directly. Membership is what keeps your care going afterward: your plan, your prescriptions, and ongoing access to your care team between visits.
Your care plan kept current, prescription management, direct messaging with your care team, referral support, and member pricing on labs and medications.
Visits are billed separately from membership, and you'll always know the price before you book.
Care is available via telehealth nationwide. Labs are drawn near you and reviewed together.
Yes, any time. Membership is month-to-month unless you choose a longer term.
